Drawing on immersive ethnographic fieldwork, this book examines how populism, conspiracy theories, and collective memory intersect in contemporary Poland. Focusing on Poland's right-wing political milieu, it explores how disputed historical accounts, nationalist narratives, and partisan truth-making shape political identities and perceptions of reality. At the same time, it offers a rare insight into the epistemic challenges of ethnographic research conducted by a German-Polish researcher in a politically polarized environment. Focusing on the cultural production of political reality, the book provides a unique perspective on one of Europe's most contested political landscapes.
